As women, we fight a daily battle against the world. People saying you're not capable, society saying you're not beautiful, and your own self, saying you're not enough.
Let's just get real here, please? Being a girl shouldn't be so hard! We're supposed to be God's little princesses for goodness sake! But after living a life where very few people treat you how you deserve to be treated, we start believing that we don't deserve much better. We lose sight of our value... and that is such a sad thing.
This is what Crowned by Divinity is all about, reminding women of their worth, and I could not be more proud to wholeheartedly support this cause. By purchasing a t-shirt from Crowned by Divinity, the proceeds go towards supporting the Homeless Ministry Payton hopes to keep growing.
About two years ago, when Payton moved from Alabama to Washington for school, God rocked her world and showed her a whole new side of life. Growing up in a small town, she had never witnessed homelessness like it is in Seattle. Seeing an epidemic such as this really pulled at her heart, and made her rethink what she wanted for her life. She started going to Seattle with bags of snacks, waters, and bible verses packed up together and would pass them out to those in need. Through this process, God gave her a vision and so her t-shirt designs began. This fearless, southern, spunky entrepreneur left school to figure out what God wanted her to do, she was patient and faithful, and two years later, she is now living in Kirkland, attending her dream ministry school as an intern at City Church.
When you listen to that still small voice, and are faithful through the ups and downs, God has a way of making things all fall into place. I love Payton's story, and I have loved walking through this journey with her. If she hadn't listened to God by taking that leap of faith to leave Alabama, her and I would have never met.
