It's been awhile...
I feel like every creative goes through a season of not really being proud of their work. We feel stuck and dismayed. This is how I have felt with my website for quite some time now. So that's why I have been MIA. I've been wanting to turn my website to focus more on my styling work and act as a portfolio but still have my blog for when I do feel like sharing my thoughts and some personal content. So after some work (and trust me, she is no where near done) I have redone my website to reflect this.
I still want to change and play with so many things but I'm pretty happy with how it's turned out so far. It looks way cooler on a desktop so I'm sorry to all those who look from your phones. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I hope you all find this updated version easier to navigate through!
OKAY DONE WITH THAT SIDE BAR, ONTO THE REAL POST!
Anyone else really into Big Little Lies? During this whole shoot Olivia kept telling me I was giving her vibes from that show. Just casually drinking my wine along the beach like The Monterey 5.
This shoot probably was one of my favorites. Why? well for starters, we got to drink wine and eat all of the yummy props afterwards, and because of all the wonderful people involved with putting it together!
I just have to take some time to dote on these ladies… Olivia is a wonderful photographer out of Portland who came for a visit and had time in her schedule to create with me! It was so much fun catching up and seeing her again, even if it was brief. Alexis, my makeup artist, has easily become one of my closest friends. We grew up together and have always been in the same circle of friends, but it hasn’t been until this past wear that God has really brought us together and a beautiful friendship has formed that I know will be life long. I am so excited for what the future holds for us Alexis! ;)
NOW… onto something that I have been so looking forward to sharing. This whole shoot would not have happened if it weren’t for Pandemonium Millinery. Locally based in Seattle, beautifully made high end products, and a wonderful team of people. The skirt you see me wearing in the images is actually a wrap. It can be worn as a scarf, as a shawl, as a top, but I chose to use it as a beach wrap. The Coastal Garden Wrap comes in several color options and patterns. I loved this particular pattern and color because of how perfect it is for summer. Light and airy but vibrant and rich.
Pandemonium Millinery has so many more products than just these wraps; hats, handbags, beautiful faux furs, menswear, throw blankets, AND CUTE OUTFITS FOR YOUR PETS! (Totally tempted to see if my bunny will fit into one of the pieces…)
I am so looking forward to using my wrap throughout the summer once the dang sun decides to stay around awhile longer (please Washington… get it together.) We’re supposed to have some nice hot days this week so I hope everyone gets the chance to enjoy it while it lasts!
