Happy first day of spring! Even though it’s raining here in the PNW, I am still excited for the change in seasons! Spring/Summer is my favorite time of year, I just feel so much more inspired and motivated to get creative when I have some extra vitamin D soaked up! Can any other creatives relate?
In honor if it OFFICIALLY being spring now, I wanted to share some trends that have been forecasted! We’re talking fashion AND colors!
Some trends that showed up on the runway over the course of this past year’s fashion week were…
👉🏻 Monochromatic looks... I am soooooo here for this one!
👉🏻 Bralette's are back... I’m not sure if this one ever really left for some people 😅
👉🏻 Floaty maxi dresses! Yes! give me all the pretty flowy dresses!
👉🏻 Baggy/wide trousers... I know, I know Gen Z has officially "cancelled" skinny jeans among other things, so here I am reporting that it looks like the wide pant leg trend is here to stay for a bit! And honestly, I’m okay with this look!

As for COLORS…
You most likely already know that the colors of the year, (yes plural, there are two colors this year for only the second time in 22 years!) are Illuminating Yellow and Ultimate Grey! And if you didn't know, well now ya do! BUT… did you also know that Pantone forecasts colors for each season? According to New York Fashion week, Pantone has predicted that these colors will be trending this spring and summer!
But that’s not all Pantone provides us with! They have us SET UP for this season! Check out these guides for color combinations using the spring/summer trending colors! I’m someone who wears black a ton… but it looks like this season I am gonna have to start adding some color to my wardrobe! (hence this fun bright orange skirt from Anthropologie! 😍)
