Very Peri

In honor of the color of the year being "Very Peri" I thought why not dye my hair periwinkle!? 😏⁣⁣⁣

I love how Pantone not only forecasts trending colors, but also pairs each color with meaning behind it! When Very Peri was announced as the color of 2022, Pantone described it as, "A new Pantone color whose courageous presence encourages personal inventiveness and creativity."⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣How could you NOT love it even more after reading that!? 💜 Pantone goes on to say... "Displaying a carefree confidence and a daring curiosity that animates our creative spirit, inquisitive and intriguing PANTONE 17-3938 Very Peri helps us to embrace this altered landscape of possibilities, opening us up to a new vision as we rewrite our lives."⁣⁣⁣

And on top of all of that... Pantone ALSO forecasts the trending colors every season too! This spring and summer, be prepared to see colors such as...⁣⁣⁣

Happy 1st Day of Spring

Happy first day of spring! Even though it’s raining here in the PNW, I am still excited for the change in seasons! Spring/Summer is my favorite time of year, I just feel so much more inspired and motivated to get creative when I have some extra vitamin D soaked up! Can any other creatives relate?

In honor if it OFFICIALLY being spring now, I wanted to share some trends that have been forecasted! We’re talking fashion AND colors!

Some trends that showed up on the runway over the course of this past year’s fashion week were…

👉🏻 Monochromatic looks... I am soooooo here for this one!

👉🏻 Bralette's are back... I’m not sure if this one ever really left for some people 😅

👉🏻 Floaty maxi dresses! Yes! give me all the pretty flowy dresses!⁣

👉🏻 Baggy/wide trousers... I know, I know Gen Z has officially "cancelled" skinny jeans among other things, so here I am reporting that it looks like the wide pant leg trend is here to stay for a bit!⁣ And honestly, I’m okay with this look!

As for COLORS…

You most likely already know that the colors of the year, (yes plural, there are two colors this year for only the second time in 22 years!) are Illuminating Yellow and Ultimate Grey! And if you didn't know, well now ya do! BUT… did you also know that Pantone forecasts colors for each season? According to New York Fashion week, Pantone has predicted that these colors will be trending this spring and summer!

But that’s not all Pantone provides us with! They have us SET UP for this season! Check out these guides for color combinations using the spring/summer trending colors! I’m someone who wears black a ton… but it looks like this season I am gonna have to start adding some color to my wardrobe! (hence this fun bright orange skirt from Anthropologie! 😍)

Emerging Green

I’m really do love the straw trend that’s been going on for awhile right now. Like straw baskets, straw decor, straw bags etc. etc. Only thing is my bunny does too… And she will EAT anything that is straw!!!! So I am very careful as to what straw items I allow into the home. 😅 But this purse, is so WORTH THE RISK!
