When living in Washington, the transition between Winter and Spring is what you could call nonexistent. You get a few sunny days and it gets you all excited for better, warmer, brighter weather. And just as you begin to break out those spring time dresses and blouses, it just goes right back to raining basically everyday. Like on the day of this shoot for example. It didn't stop raining all day, so we made it work indoors. Once we went outdoors though... my hair was done for. I have naturally wavy/curly hair and I still haven't quite figured out how to deal with it now that my hair is about 8 inches shorter than it used to be.
Although I LIVE for warm, sunny weather, I still don't really like bright flowery Spring time clothing. I am not into floral prints, never have liked pink, and heck, I hardly ever wear dresses and skirts. So how do I show my appreciation for this moody (and sometimes dreary) Spring? With moody style, duh.
These two lace pieces are currently my favorites! Best way to transition your style & attire into Spring. Pieces that you can make your own by adding color to the look, or keeping it a bit more muted are the best. And the dark flowery lace patterns still gives you that "Spring" vibe.
Check these two looks out by clicking here, for look one, and here for look two. Make it your own! That's what's best about these pieces. I paired my top with a lace bandeau and my high waisted mom jeans, woot woot for mom jeans! The lace kimono, I put with an edgy little crop top and bell bottom jeans and I tied the velvet belt from the kimono around my waist to meet the jeans. Two such SIMPLE looks. Check the links out while they are still ON SALE!!! What will you pair yours with?
