Ohhhh Vegas...
Literally is it's own little world. Going to Las Vegas for this Shoot Out was my first time not only in Vegas, but in Nevada just in general. Now, I had heard the stories of Vegas, but you never truly understand until you walk the strip and witness it all for yourself. I must say it was quite the experience, but I don't think I would choose to go there on my own will. Walking the strip on our way to dinner at Serendipity, (which apparently is famous for frozen hot chocolate? Sounds like a milk shake to me) the atmosphere was so lively and fun. But after making our touristy rounds, as it got later, people got weirder... and creepier.
The next day though, we drove about an hour or so away from Vegas to the Nelson Ghost Town. There were broken down cars, a crashed airplane, old barns, a piano, cactuses... It was just the coolest shoot location ever! I am going to pretty much explain what this shoot out was like. Four amazing photographers decided to hold a Shoot Out in Vegas since hundreds of photographers were going to be in Vegas anyways for the WPPI conference that is held every year for photographers. Latasha Haynes, Spanki Mills, Christina Ramirez and True Moua were the hosts of this trip. Latasha, (Tash from Ike & Tash) brought us girls along with her. Each of these four photographers were assigned two girls to style and teach on. About fifty photographers attended and were split into groups. The photographers rotated groups and had a chance to work with each host and learn from them while shooting the girls assigned to that host. So as you can image after probably around five hours of pictures and posing, and in my case some dancing, we were exhausted by the end of the day.
Being able to do a shoot that was dance inspired was an absolute dream come true. Which is kind of ironic since the photographer I worked with and the one who styled my shoot was True. There were so many amazing pictures from everyone's shoots I had to include as many as I could! So I hope you enjoy the works of so many talented photographers.

One of my favorite parts about working with so many different photographers at once is being able to see how each one of them interprets a picture. It's the same shoot, same dress, same location, same everything. But, it is so beautiful seeing how each photographer's own creativity comes out and is transpired into a captured moment in time for them to express themselves through in such contrasting ways.
Here are mooooooore pictures (cause I know you wanna see more than just my face all the time), of the other GORGEOUS models that were apart of this shoot out. And might I just say, they all killed it. I just can't get over Shelby's shoot with the broken down airplane and her little pilot outfit. Or Sophia in that jumpsuit, can someone please call Free People and let them know they have a new spokesmodel? What about Miss Little Mikayla at that old upright piano? Those eeeeyyyyes, those eyes! And of course, I have to give a little shoutout to my baby sis, Tori, who took the plunge and let this be her first ever photo shoot.
Hey, you try and have 50 lenses up in your face while simultaneously looking pretty in 100 mph wind. All in all, I think it is pretty clear to see that each and every one of these girls brought their best to the table (desert), as well as the incredible photographers that participated in this WPPI 2016 Shoot Out.
