How's everyone doing? A little turkey hungover from Thanksgiving? Good, that's the way it's supposed to be. So, I do have to admit something, being a "fashion person," ya'll probably think that I was up and with all the Black Friday deals and whatnot. Truth is, I have never been Black Friday shopping. It scares me. I am a small individual, and would prefer not to get trampled by big crowds. So until someone can convince me otherwise, I think I will shop from the comfort of my own couch where the only pain I experience is in my eyeballs from staring at a bright screen for too long... That and maybe a pain in my chest caused by shopper's guilt... eh, it will eventually go away.
So since I am too afraid to go out in public on a day like this, I will share some of my favorite websites that have their own Black Friday deals going on;

Now, onto what these pictures are all about...
When I went to Portland for FashioNXT, my amazing photographer, Kelsey and I, had a day to go exploring. Which Portland is pretty cool so there was plenty to discover. We were told by some friends that we HAD to go to this grilled cheese place. It's called, Grilled Cheese Grill, pretty nifty huh? Well basically this place has the absolute best grilled cheese I have ever had in my life. It's set up like a food bus, and then there is this school bus that you can go inside and eat in. The colors and painting were so tight, Kelsey and I ate our grilled cheese FIRST of course, and then had a little mini photo shoot session in this bus.
After lunch, we had to do some shopping. It's Oregon you guys, NO TAX! Duh we were going to shop. On our way over to the mall. we came across this park, The colors and the leaves were beautiful, we felt like we were in a little mini version of Central Park during the fall. Needless to say, the real Central Park is on our photo shoot bucket list now.
After the park and shopping, where do you think we went next? To get coffee of course. I'm a true Seattleite, but Kelsey is from Indiana so I don't know what her excuse is... Nonetheless, I can assure you we were not basic and found the nearest Starbucks, no, we made the most out of our adventure and decided to give this cute little shop named Good Coffee a try. I mean, the name is "good coffee" so how bad can it be? I can honestly say, not only was it the most charming coffee shop I have ever been to, but it was the best cup of coffee I have ever had. I kind have become a coffee snob since then... which I never thought I would be!
So moral of the story, if you are ever in Portland and have some spare time, give these places a looksy! You will not be disappointed.
